One of my favorite desserts on this planet…Bananas Foster! Imagine waking up to that aroma of ripe bananas and cinnamon in the air. Well you actually can with this take on Bananas Foster Waffles, a little morning boost for you and your palate!
A Sweet Inspiration:
This recipe emerged from my quest for a breakfast that was like bananas foster, was simple enough to make in the mornings without lighting your whole kitchen on fire. Bananas, with their natural sweetness and versatility, served as the base. And the rest was easy from there. Thus, a breakfast dessert was born!
Crafting the Perfect Batter:
The magic begins in the kitchen, where a ripe banana meets a mix of oat flour, eggs, and a hint of cinnamon. The beauty lies in the simplicity of preparation – mash, whisk, fold, and sizzle on the waffle iron. The result? Waffles that offer a depth of flavors with every bite.
Flourishing with Customization:
Cooking is an art, and recipes are merely canvases waiting for your creative brushstrokes. Don’t have oat flour? No worries! Experiment with almond flour or all-purpose flour, each lending its unique texture and taste to these waffles. Feel free to swap the coconut oil for butter if that’s more your style.
The Art of Toppings:
Ah, the canvas is ready for duty! Toppings elevate these waffles from delightful to extraordinary. Picture a cascade of fresh berries adorning your plate, or the nutty crunch of chopped walnuts or pecans adding a delightful texture. Drizzle with maple syrup – a golden elixir that complements the flavors, and why not, a dollop of yogurt or whipped cream?
Breakfast Beyond Boundaries:
The beauty of these Bananas Foster Waffles lies not just in their flavors but also in their versatility. They’re perfect for a leisurely Sunday brunch with loved ones or a weekday morning when you crave a dash of delight. Pair them with a warm cup of coffee or freshly squeezed juice, and you’ve unlocked the secret to a blissful morning routine.
Try these out and tag me when you do 🙂 I want to know if you love them as much as I do!
