Healthy Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients for 1 sandwich

2 tbsp crushed cornflakes or panko breadcrumbs

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper
Nashville Hot Sauce

1 tbsp avocado oil
-
1 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to spice tolerance

1 tsp smoked paprika
-
1 tsp brown sugar or honey
-
1 tsp garlic powder
Sandwich Build

1 high protein bun or whole wheat bun

Pickles
-
Optional light slaw or lettuce
Quick Sauce

2 tbsp nonfat Greek yogurt
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard
-
1 tsp honey
-
Splash of pickle juice optional but elite
Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 400°F or oven to 425°F

Pound chicken slightly so it cooks evenly

Coat chicken in Greek yogurt or egg white

Mix cornflakes breadcrumbs spices salt and pepper

Press chicken into coating until fully covered

Air fry 10 to 12 minutes flipping halfway.

Heat avocado oil in a small pan then stir in cayenne paprika sugar and garlic powder remove from heat

Brush hot oil mixture generously over crispy chicken

Mix all quick sauce ingredients

Toast bun lightly

Assemble bun sauce chicken pickles and slaw
