Press your tofu to remove as much water as possible. Press for at least 15 minutes.
When ready to start cooking, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Crumble the pressed tofu into a bowl, resembling ground beef.
In a separate small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Pour the seasoning mixture over the crumbled tofu. Gently toss until the tofu is evenly coated with the seasoning.
Spread the seasoned tofu evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tofu starts to brown and becomes slightly crispy, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
Once baked, remove from the oven and use it as a substitute for ground beef in various dishes like tacos, pasta sauce, stir-fries, or any other recipe calling for ground meat.
