
Crispy Tofu Fries
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu extra firm
- 1 cup bread crumbs panko
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt & pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu:Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Cut the pressed tofu into fry-shaped pieces, about ½ inch thick.
- Season and Coat:In a bowl, mix the bread crumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat each tofu fry with olive oil, then coat them evenly with the seasoned bread crumbs mixture.
- Air-Fry the Tofu:Place the breaded tofu fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren't crowded. Air fry for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even crispiness.
- Serve and Enjoy:Once the tofu fries are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as a crunchy snack or side dish.

Tips for Extra Crunchiness:
- For an even crunchier coating, consider double-coating the tofu fries by dipping them in a beaten egg (or a vegan egg substitute) before coating them with the bread crumbs mixture.
- Ensure the air fryer is preheated to the recommended temperature for the best results.
