Hot Honey Chicken Sandwiches

Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

Crispy oven baked chicken tossed in sticky hot honey with a creamy high protein slaw. All the flavor.

Ingredients

Serves 4

Chicken

Crispy Coating

  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs

  • ¼ cup grated parmesan

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

Hot Honey Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • Pinch salt

High Protein Slaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

  • Pinch salt

To Assemble

  • 4 high protein or whole wheat buns

  • Pickle slices


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and place a wire rack on top.

  2. In a bowl mix Greek yogurt garlic powder smoked paprika salt and pepper. Coat chicken thighs evenly.

  3. In another bowl combine panko parmesan and chili powder. Press chicken into mixture until fully coated.

  4. Place on wire rack and lightly spray with olive oil spray. Bake 22 to 28 minutes until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  5. While chicken bakes warm honey hot sauce red pepper flakes and salt in a small saucepan until smooth.

  6. Mix cabbage Greek yogurt vinegar and salt for the slaw. Chill until ready to use.

  7. Toast buns. Brush hot honey over the baked chicken. Add slaw and pickles. Drizzle extra hot honey if desired.
