Spicy Honey Salmon Bites

Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon fillets cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2-3 tablespoons hot sauce adjust to taste
- 1-3 teaspoons cayenne pepper adjust to spice preference
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray for the air fryer basket
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish optional
Instructions
- a bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, smoked paprika, white vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the hot honey sauce. Set aside.
- Preheat the air fryer to 425°F (220°C).
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
- Air fry the salmon at 425°F (220°C) for 4-5 minutes.
- Carefully flip the salmon pieces and air fry for an additional 4-5 minutes or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Once flipped, generously brush the hot honey sauce over the salmon pieces. Feel free to brush the sauce on a few times during the remaining cooking time for extra flavor. Ensure each piece is coated with the sauce.
- Continue to air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the salmon has a crispy exterior and the sauce is caramelized.
- Remove the salmon from the air fryer and transfer to a plate or bowl.
